Oh damn.

Well I think I'm gonna like this.

Interesting. He seems to completely agree with my opinion on these. These may have bottomed out and will start to slowly climb back up. It's ok. I am probably better off without one, even though I still love them.

I don't feel like my STS is completely inferior to this. I mean there are a few extra features on the 750, such as:
- Massaging seats that don't work that well (might just be lumbar-based)
- Power upper back rests
- Power reclining rear seats
- Rear power sunshade (he didn't mention it but I assume it has it)
- Power head rests (front and rear)

I have basically everything else, and some stuff is better, like the infotainment and audio, ventilated seats, a rear climate control zone and keyless ignition). Plus available adaptive cruise. I also doubt the E38 handles better, though I'd love to drive one. I guess I'd have to sit in it but from appearances, it doesn't seem leaps and bounds nicer inside, though there are some fancier flourishes here and there. Way better rear seat legroom of course. It's not any faster than my STS. The 04-06 SRX has tilt out map pockets that look similar to what this car had (by memory anyway). Of course the STS is a 10 year newer design than the E38 but then the top trim E38 sold for like $140k after inflation correction. Even the 2006 STS-V was only $93k after inflation correction, and they probably sold zero of those at MSRP (definitely under).

Still love these though...those are one of my favorite all time wheel designs (M-parallel).

I'm wondering how much they benchmarked the E39 5-series or E38 7-series with the Sigma vehicles, as opposed to something like the E46 3-series. I think they looked at all of them. The funny thing about that is that all 3 of those platforms were, in some way, a high water mark for BMW before they started heading toward the Mercedes model. The 3-series experienced this less, and something like an E90 M3 was also pretty good.
