So... The rear camera is mandatory, but being integrated and one with the radio is not. There would be plenty of room for a radio with actual knobs and buttons, and an 8 inch screen for back-up camera in this giant interior/dash. I can see why a work truck with a touch screen may not be an optimal scenario, like if you are wearing gloves, have dirty hands, um, doing work, etc.
You could argue that it is not optimally packaging everything possible, but maybe that is the wrong requirement with the amount of space, and given the intended use of a truck.

I really like this new design. The under/behind seat storage inside is pretty awesome. Never seen that done this way.

New 2.7L 4 cylinder turbo engine is revealed.
The turbo 2.7-liter was designed from the ground up as a truck engine, according to GM. As such, the gas-fed four-banger has a long stroke to deliver optimal low-end torque. The exhaust manifold is integrated into the cylinder head to reduce turbo lag, and the turbo itself uses a twin-scroll design for quicker spooling and better response down low. In addition, the new engine gets a trick variable valve lift system with three different camshaft profiles to choose from depending on the situation. The result is a four-cylinder that produces 310 hp and 348 lb-ft of torque, with that torque peaking from 1,500 to 4,000 rpm. GM expects the 2.7-liter to offer payload capacity comparable to the Ford F-150 XLT’s 3.3-liter V-6 and the Ram 1500 Big Horn’s 3.6-liter V-6. The 2.7-liter I-4 will replace the 4.3-liter V-6 in the Silverado LT and is the standard engine on the new Silverado RST. The engine also gets cylinder shut-off and stop/start tech.
GM announcing it will offer a four-cylinder engine in a full-size truck is the big news of the day, but we also learn much more about the 2019 Silverado’s other engines. The 4.3-liter V-6 will continue to be offered as the base engine in the Work Truck, Custom, and Custom Trail Boss, making the same 285 hp and 305 lb-ft as last year. Power ratings also remain the same on the 5.3-liter V-8 and 6.2-liter V-8, at 355 hp/383 lb-ft and 420 hp/460 lb-ft, respectively, but are updated with stop/start tech and GM’s Dynamic Fuel Management system that can shut off as many as seven cylinders. Sadly, GM doesn’t give us any more details on its new 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel inline-six, which is due next year.
Gah I really want to see what the diesel is all about.

A little more info.

The engineer specifically talked about improving towing fuel economy with the 2.7T; something I've never heard Ford talk about.

C&D:

The automatic transmission does the four-cylinder no favors, however, as it’s eager to reach its tallest ratio and apathetic to downshift when the accelerator pedal is floored.
Getting tired of hearing this. I wish automakers weren't incentivized to sacrifice drivability for that last 2% fuel economy benefit.

Forgot to mention that the engineer also said the 4 cylinder has to pass the same durability tests as the V8s.

So the new 2.7L turbo Silverado seems to have redeemed itself here.

24.2 mpg on the same loop that a Ram Rebel with Hemi and "e-torque hybrid motor" got 16.8.
These guys are at altitude so if anything the turbo would have been working even harder than it was for C&D's test. I have no idea what is going on but this is more like the fuel economy I expected. I would like to see a 4.3 V6 truck, a 5.3, a 6.2, this turbo and an L5P Duramax on the same loop. I'd love to know how that all shakes out.
Here is the C&D article:

3.0L I6 turbodiesel specs.
The 3.0 liter Duramax inline-six turbodiesel engine found in the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and 2019 GMC Sierra is rated at 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque.
General Motors had been playing coy with the new 3.0 Duramax diesel’s output, but a TFLTruck reader noticed the engine’s horsepower and torque figures listed on GMC’s website and sent a screenshot over to the website, unearthing GM’s well-kept secret.
These figures make the Duramax-equipped 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and 2019 GMC Sierra the most powerful half-ton diesel trucks on the market – though not by much. The 2019 Ford F-150’s 3.0 liter diesel makes 250 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque. Fiat Chrysler has not announced the EcoDiesel engine for the new Ram 1500 yet, but if the engine does return in the truck, it will probably make the same amount of power it did before – 260 hp and 442 lb-ft.

9 years ago GM had a 4.5L Duramax V8 on the shelf ready to go anywhere the existing small block V8s fit. It was rumored to make around 310 hp and 520 lb-ft. Now we have a 3.0L making close to those numbers, so that is something. I would have rather had the V8 though.

This info is about 2 weeks older than the previous post.
You may be able to order the LM2; however, powertrain specifications remain a mystery. However, TFLTruck.com does have alleged leaked—“unofficial”—specs. The documents suggest the 3.0L Duramax, which will pair with GM’s 10-speed automatic gearbox, will produce around 282 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. The unofficial maximum towing capacity is rumored to be 7,800 pounds while highway fuel economy is estimated at 29 miles per gallon.
This engine in a Tahoe/Yukon is a very interesting proposition if it gets upper 20s. And obviously same goes for the pickup trucks.
