Caprice engine swap?

I think he loves the turbo ones, but not the SC ones.
Re: Caprice engine swap?
Not the S/C ones. The S/C one is about as good as you'd expect from GM. Halfway decent performing but kind of half baked. The turbo one is top of class performance. The C/D Lightning Lap told the story. I find it quite significant because GM had never made a product anywhere near that good in that class of car. Now it still falls down in terms of interior quality and perhaps looks. But the performance is as good or better as anything else that size/shape. And not just performance - it was reported to also be fun to drive and push.billgiacheri wrote:Kevin you love these right:

Unfortunately the SS turbo has high resale because of its goodness and rarity.

Re: Caprice engine swap?
Do you care about this one at all? I've got a whole car worth of parts that are even the right color. Most of that stuff is going in the trash soon, so let me know if you might want it.Bob wrote:This one says runs out strong. Is that close enough? http://greenville.craigslist.org/cto/5431330077.htmlkevm14 wrote:Can't see the dual exhaust and no VIN. So not enough info. Probably an L99. Usually LT1 ads contain key words such as the following:
- LT1
-Corvette
- 350
- Runs out good
Re: Caprice engine swap?
I broke my passenger side washer nozzle while scraping ice on Saturday. It is on the wiper arm for extra fanciness. I have never broken this before, so that is cool.
Somehow I cannot find my old wiper arms. I have replaced them at least once or twice. Would have been nice to just switch the nozzles. I can get new wiper arms with nozzles for like $15 on rockauto. But since this car has almost 300k I thought I would do an almost 300k repair: I wrapped electrical tape around the nozzle and the wiper arm. Fixed. I chuckled to myself because a repair like this is almost a novelty to me. I'm not perfect but I try not to do shit like that.

Appears to be in good shape, but might be four cylinders short of perfection: http://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/5437859422.html
