I have to say I like the slight facelift on the 98+ cars.

The only redeeming quality of these cars is the high mileage stuff. I find that interesting. Otherwise, it's E38 all day.

I think the LS400 would be the ideal car to use as an interim daily driver. You know it will be reliable while you work on your LS swap in the Caprice.

From my experience with the SC400, the 1UZ-FE engine is actually pleasant to work on. It is also an incredibly smooth engine, if that's worth anything.

The LS400 is just so sterile and boring. It can't handle, at all. The performance of the 98+ is decent, which is good. But conceding the E38 just makes me feel like I should keep hunting for a B/D-body.

The one in Norwood is actually something I can test drive without driving for hours, and it's also in my price range. The check engine light is on, which is exciting.
