2008 SRX ashtray door fix
Recall the missing ashtray door cover.
I got the new trim piece that I bought from a junkyard on eBay. I looked it over and there are two small plastic retainers that hold the bottom of the door cover on the door.
Just press to release. Pretty easy.
The junkyard ashtray assembly/panel with the door cover removed.
Just slides on and clips into place. Looks great and the match is correct.
I really have no idea why this was missing. Nothing was broken. Just one of those things.

I forgot to mention that the donor assembly was $65 shipped (eBay) which I think is reasonable. I actually did a Best Offer thing, which is the first time I tried that. I think it was $80, I offered $50 and he came back with $65.
