I miss the "Would I like as a rental again in the future" as a category.

For the Expedition, I would only rent it again if it is one with the ecoboost.

Car: 2015 Dodge Charger
Date Rented: 2/24/15
Location Rented: DTW
Rental Company: National
Powertrain: 3.6L V6 292 HP, 5A
Highs: Instrument cluster upgrade looks good, nice ride even on terrible Michigan roads, chassis feels willing, soaks up the highway miles.
Lows: Still no 8-speed auto in the rental version
Other cars available: Jeep Cherokee (I couldn't risk a transmission failure on the way to my appointment)
Would I rent again? Yes

Car: 2015 Ford Mustang Convertible
Date Rented: 2/25/15
Location Rented: ORD
Rental Company: National
Powertrain: 3.7L V6 300 HP, 6A
Highs: Chassis feels decent, although I think the convertible version is a bit more flexible than the coupe. Good steering feel. I think it traps close to 100, which isn't bad for a rental.
Lows: 3.7L V6 sounds and feels a bit unrefined.
Fun facts: Has adjustable steering feel. Instrument display can display some crazy stuff like intake air temp and a/f ratio.
Other cars available: Jeep Wrangler (too many highway miles on this trip to drive something like this), a bunch of non-descript boring sedans
Would I rent again? Yes, but I think I would prefer the coupe.

Car: 2014 Chevy Camaro LT
Date Rented: 3/2/15
Location Rented: SFO
Company: National
Powertrain: 3.6L V6 323 HP, 6A
Highs: Chassis feels better than the Mustang, although this may be due to it being a coupe. The transmission seems well calibrated for an auto. The ride feels sophisticated.
Lows: Poor visibility. Not all that comfortable as a highway cruiser compared to other cars I rent. Interior is much lower quality than the 2015 Mustang (maybe this isn't fair because the Mustang is a fresh redesign). My boss was with me so I didn't get to fully exercise it.
Fun facts: To be honest, I can't think of anything at all. The car was a base model so it lacking any cool options.
Other cars available: A bunch of SUVs and sedans, nothing notable
Would I rent again? Yes

Can you compare/contrast the Ford V6 to the GM 3.6 in the Camaro? Refinement, response, torque, power, sound.

Refinement: Advantage GM.
Response: Advantage GM. The Ford V6 felt a bit sluggish to rev.
Torque/Power: I didn't get enough chance to evaluate the Camaro
Sound: I would say a wash here, neither one really excited me.

I have had the chance to drive several other vehicles powered by the GM 3.6L V6 (Impala, Terrain, Lacrosse) and I have liked it in all of those. Still waiting for my chance at a CTS...

Car: 2014 Chrysler 300C
Date Rented: 3/3/15
Location Rented: LAX
Rental Company: National
Powertrain: 3.6L V6 292 HP, 5A
Highs: Great highway cruiser, lots of options on the C trim
Lows: Rental version still has a 5A. The "C" designation used to mean a V8.
Fun facts: Has heated and cooled cup holders as well as a power rear window shade.
Other notable cars available: VW GTI (I would have gone for this if I was by myself), Lincoln Navigator (somebody snagged it just before I got there)
Would I rent again? Yes.

Car: 2016 Mazda 6 Sport
Date Rented: 3/30/15
Location Rented: BNA
Rental Company: National
Powertrain: 184 HP 2.5L I4 with 6A
Highs: Transmission does a great job of rev matching downshifts and of doing exactly what I expect it to do in most situations, the best chassis in the segment. Excellent fuel economy. Feels very light on its feet (probably because it weighs only ~3200 lbs)
Lows: Weak engine, example I rented was devoid of options.
Fun facts: Nothing extremely exciting on the model I rented, just a fundamentally good car.
Other notable cars available: Suburban, a bunch of non-descript mid size sedans and crossovers
Would I rent again? Yes.

Car: 2015 Toyota Avalon XLE
Date Rented: 4/27/15
Location Rented: JAX (how fitting since this was a white Avalon)
Rental Company: National
Powertrain: 268 HP 3.5L V6 with 6A
Highs: Reels in the babes in the retirement community. Great for a highway cruise across Florida. Traps 99 and gets good highway mileage.
Lows: Steering pretty numb and on center feel not great, engine not too strong till you wind it out a bit.
Fun facts: This is a Toyota and thus devoid of any character.
Other notable cars available: a bunch of non-descript mid size sedans and crossovers, really was an easy choice here
Would I rent again? Probably, but not if there was a 300 or maybe even a V6 Impala sitting on the lot
