I think we've needed a correction for years now. Not sure we have the conditions where it will finally be right after you make a large purchase. If anything I thought the market was stabilizing.

There are better videos to explain why the "Allison" 10A is problematic but this is the latest related info. Dealers must sell all Allison branded inventory by June 29, 2026, after which, they must REMOVE the Allison branding/badging. I don't think Allison is happy with this licensing partnership. Evidently it is really just a scaled up 10L80. And that's not a good thing.
I would stick with the Allison 1000.

May want to consider a gas...take a look at his fuel economy tests. No those weren't towing but I still don't think the modern diesel is better for operating costs if you do "normal or less" miles per year. 87 is usually cheaper then diesel which probably whopes away most of the advantage not to mention the increased purchase cost and likely increased maintenance cost. I see it as a luxury, not a necessity.
