In decreasing order, beginning with the most expensive Kia Forte with a base price of $18,715.

Waaaay too many CVTs here, which seems to suggest these are not cars you are going to drive to 200k with zero drivetrain issues. Unfortunately, they would become disposable appliances. Or get the manual trans (if you aren't a Millennial).

The pickings get pretty bad under the Accent though I'll go on record and take a gamble that the Spark is probably a better car than the Mirage but I'm not sure how relevant that really is...

And by the way...I have no idea why any remotely savvy shopper would not be taking a very hard look at much nicer CPO cars which probably have equivalent warranties (or better in some cases).

And for the harder core enthusiast, I know I can buy something really nice for $15k even if I have no warranty whatsoever...

For people with suspect credit histories, sometimes new vehicle financing can be more accessible. For a cash buyer or someone with good credit, I find it hard to make the case for buying a $15k new car.
