CTS-V: $24.65.....WTF? Oh goddamnit, they quoted without collision. This will likely end up at $44 or so.

78 Fleetwood: I was quoted $234/yr which is $19.50/mo. So about the same as my Caprice. I did the same coverage as the Caprice (no collision).

New premiums without Ranger and with CTS-V on full coverage:
Caprice: $21.58
SRX: $42.08
CTS-V: $40.42 (so putting it on the road costs an extra $17.83/mo to fully insure from comprehensive only)
Ram: $24.83

Just correcting this. I think the CTS-V annual premium for comprehensive only is $41. So that is only $3.42/mo. Full coverage I quoted as being $40.42/mo, at least at that time. So that is $37 extra per month to put on the road. Over the course of a 4 month lay up, that's about $150 saved. Not big bucks but it does make a difference on the overall premium.

Bad news. My insurance went up $418 for the 2019 policy term with no other differences. WTF?

Agent has no satisfactory explanation other than "rates change."

I did a quick Progressive quote yesterday and it really isn't any cheaper. It's actually not cheaper at all...WTF??

That's why I asked my agent if he could explain it. Makes me want to try calling the insurance company. Credit score? Driving history (my ticket was waived but maybe something in the "system" broke)? New law/regulation?

New info.
If I add the Caprice back with comp only (i.e. not on the road but I still own it), my annual premium goes down $31. lol

Apparently changing the STS to commute decreases by $4. double lol

Should I take the $35? That would bring my annual premium to $1,951... Still annoyed it has gone up so much...
