Looks like everything but adaptive cruise. AWD, 1SG, FE3. I am sure it has a rough interior.

I asked for the VIN.

It would be hilarious if it was another one.

Not a terrible option. Another one without adaptive cruise but everything else. 1SG, FE3, AWD.

Black 2006. 1SG, AWD, FE3, and adaptive cruise. Naturally it is pretty over priced though some of that is the model year. Higher mileage though. Interior kind of shows the miles. Not terrible but for the price I'd expect a little less wear on the seats (weird dent/stretch areas) and steering wheel spokes. Either way, over priced. Another $6k car, given the miles.
Edmunds dealer retail is $6,960 and private is $4,769. Like I said, it is over priced.
It is not hard to tell adaptive cruise. The wreath and crest on the grill has a black surround on the adaptive cruise cars.

With a competent inspector, I think this would work fine for me. I would also need them to try all features and functions which might take a while on an STS...or just roll the dice if everything else is good.
That's cool.Used car sellers can be sneaky. Sometimes they will have the vehicle warmed up for us, erase any check engine lights and etc. Because of this, we do try to take them by surprise. Note that this may not be possible with private sellers. Our inspector will call to make sure that the vehicle is still available and then he will show up unexpectedly. We find that we get a much more accurate representation of the vehicle that way.
Re: Caprice engine swap?
Damn that is actually pretty nice. Not a bad candidate at all. Bill was saying black would be better but it is hard to argue with how overall nice that is. It is a V6 but appears to be fully loaded with nav and even the 18s.
You could do a timing chain and tensioner on the V6 and even just drive it for a while.

Re: Caprice engine swap?
Yeah, I mean for $2k and a little bit of work, it's actually pretty decent. Probably could be driven for a while and sold for at least what you have in it.
Re: Caprice engine swap?
This car is in good shape, I would just rather have Black if I were going to go through all the work to swap it.
