Honestly there are enough rough edges here to pass. Dent on the pass rear 1/4 panel near tail light. Bad mass airflow which is only $40 (he says) but he doesn't just replace it. Passenger door doesn't work. Needs a 4th wheel?? Pass.
Cool story bro?2005 Cadillac STS 4.6 V8 Loaded GPS - $4000 (Middletown)
This is my 2005 Cadillac STS with 146k miles. Its in good interior and exterior condition with only a couple of blemishes. Car is the top of the line fully loaded model with the 4.6L Northstar V8 with 320HP(MPG 17/26). When the car first came out it was a $70k luxury car and it shows with all of its advanced features. It comes equipped with Dual power heated & cooled front seats, heated rear seats, power & heated mirrors, touch screen navigation, sunroof, remote start, power adjustable steering wheel, back up sensors, and much more and also has a brand new battery I installed 2 weeks ago($250). Like I said it was the fully loaded model so it has most of the high end features a luxury car today will have. The only problems with the car is that the check engine light is on since the mass air flow sensor is bad($40 part), the exterior passenger door does not work, and it needs one more matching rim(I have the brand new tire to match the set). All tires ar also in great condition with lots of treat life. I would fix it but I simply just do not have the time since Im currently out of state for the next couple of months and don't have the time to come back and deal with it. If you have any questions you can contact me on my cell phone listed above. Send me an offer, I just can't accept low ball offers since I have so much already invested into it.

This might be one of those cases that I would be better off looking on Auto Trader.billgiacheri wrote:I noticed that too...No I got it - I should be alarmed because it is in Bridgeport. It seems like these are only in major cities. Or a lot are. I don't like that.
Link again, but opened up to 300 miles. Same $7000 max and V8 only.

Cars.com, V8s, under $8k

Good selection across the price range actually.

Re: Caprice engine swap?
Looks like temp and vent selection is part of the rear climate control. Or maybe that is just a fan control not temp? Also 3 settings for each rear heated seat.

My very general rule of thumb for car buying/selling:kevm14 wrote: This might be one of those cases that I would be better off looking on Auto Trader.
4 figures = craigslist
5 figures = Autotrader
Re: Caprice engine swap?
In this case, I am just getting weird vibes from a lot of the STSs on CL. A lot are in cities and I just don't think they've been taken care of. This is not a problem I had, even a little bit, with the Super, despite being a similar age, mileage and price.
I'd rather get something on autotrader or cars.com that's either private sale but like a normal person, or something that's been through an auction because it was a trade and the previous owner basically did normal stuff (serviced at dealer, etc.) which I think would be typical with these cars depending on the mileage of course.

Re: Caprice engine swap?
Maybe this has something to do with owner demographics for each vehicle.
Re: Caprice engine swap?
It would appear that while a lot of the V8 cars came pretty loaded, there may have still been options that I need to sort through to get what I want.
Even on the V8 I think MR was optional, as was a sport handling package. I think the way to tell MAY be that it has 18s vs 17s. I am unsure about some of the interior options, as well.
