Bang for the Buck Thread
Re: Bang for the Buck Thread
People are quick to blame the union, but when a car company isn't making anything that a fairly die hard fanboy wants, that is a real problem. It is no wonder that they weren't selling enough cars to profit.

Yeah I thought of it but was trying to stick with actual Chevrolet "SS" offerings. It's true though. If memory serves, those were actually the first vehicles to get the LNF, in 2007.billgiacheri wrote:The car that isn't mentioned that should have carried on for diversity is the Sky. That really gave them a different platform to evolve. (I say the Sky because it looked way better than the Solstice).
Re: Bang for the Buck Thread
It is interesting to note that when Toyota killed Scion, they kept the FR-S alive as the Toyota 86, but when GM killed Saturn and Pontiac, the Sky and Solstice just died.
Re: Bang for the Buck Thread
Right but the conditions were different. When Pontiac was killed, knowing what we know about what the gov't directed them to do, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they were forbidden from basically rebadging the entire line under a surviving brand (like Chevrolet).
Re: Bang for the Buck Thread
This could be a sweet LeMons car depending on how much it needs: https://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/5999990681.html
Re: Bang for the Buck Thread
I think Murilee Martin doesn't rate these very high for LeMons success.
Re: Bang for the Buck Thread
As i was watching the One Take on the 03 Terminator Mustang I naturally began to day dream about the Z06. The 02-04 Z06 is as fast as a 2016 Camaro (I looked it up to confirm). For under $20k. I don't really know why I don't have one...

It would fit your "all my vehicles are V8, RWD, with LSD" thing you have.kevm14 wrote:As i was watching the One Take on the 03 Terminator Mustang I naturally began to day dream about the Z06.
