Intel PCIe SSD

SATA cannot keep up with SSD evolution.

It turns out if you start to use PCIe-levels of bandwidth, you use a lot of CPU, too. Ah, like the old days.

This is totally unnecessary in a consumer system, but I'm sure folks will buy them anyway.

I think this would be a good time to bring up the fact that my Dad had one of these in a 386 SX/16 system: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardcard

I think it may have been the EZ 240MB (ISA, for performance).
