Doug DeMuro: Porsche 959

I was very excited to see this.

This is a very special and rare car (wait until you hear what it is worth) and it is filled with interesting quirks and features, as Doug would say. This is also one of his least annoying reviews, perhaps because he is genuinely excited to have the opportunity with the car.
I love all the chassis adjustment stuff. Because racing.
It is worth noting that while it had some features that were far from common in the 80s, they were available on far, far cheaper vehicles, and those features include:
- Auto climate control
- TPMS (available starting in 89 on the C4)
- Adjustable shock damping (also available starting in 89 on the C4)
Oh and I might as well also mention that the stereo was probably total shit.
But none of that is important. The hydraulic suspension is cool, the AWD system is cool, and even the twin sequential turbos are cool (Supra anyone?). I mean look at the suspension oil (and dipstick) and exterior oil filler. So racecar.
I liked this car in NFS Porsche Unleashed.
It is not a terribly attractive car. The best angles are anything from the side and back. Anything showing the front is bad. But that doesn't even matter, either.
