The Problem: If a certain electrical network happens to short-circuit while the vehicle is accelerating in cruise control mode, drivers may not be able to cancel cruise control. However, FCA says drivers can still brake to override acceleration from the cruise control system. Shifting into neutral and braking accordingly will also stop the vehicle. The vehicle will cancel cruise control once it has been placed in Park.
Emphasis mine. And basically that is the exact same mitigation available to every vehicle that has ever been involved in a "runaway vehicle" situation. Which means everyone will die because no one is apparently capable of doing anything using common sense.
