A bunch of SUVs, CUVs, and some Trucks, oh and German cars (Detroit Auto Show...) and apparently the Camry and Kia Stinger stole the show. Sounds like a sad year for cars... The new Nissan Vmotion Style concept looks good. No cars from GM. Odd when you look at the best concepts of last year:

Buick Avista
"In a world of ho-hum crossovers, several of them Buicks, the brand’s big coupe concept looks like a revolution" But I mean why would you make this??? Crazy...

Cadillac Escala
"We’re coming to accept that the achingly gorgeous Cadillac Elmiraj coupe concept will never make it to production." I guess GM decided they make 2 performance cars,a bunch of boring cars and the best concepts never to materialize as actual production cars.

I'd like to see how the Kia Stinger GT stacks up but I am prepared to write it off at least for this first generation.

The Camry is the only vehicle that really stood out to me as earning the label of "the best". It is such a HUGE step up from any previous Camry that it really stands out as being something special. The Traverse and Terrain come in right behind the Camry. Both are big improvements over their predecessors.

Everything else either turned out exactly how one would expect (E coupe, Tiguan, LS, Odyssey), are concepts that will be watered down if they ever reach production (Q8, VW bus) or is a disappointing mash up of other car designs (Stinger).

Honestly, it was kind of a disappointing show this year.
