Good marketing for this thing. I believe the car will stack up, unlike the Mustang which was a bit over-hyped for what it turned out to be.
A timed piecemeal reveal until May 16th. Check out the headers! Factory headers?? LS manifolds are kind of like shorty headers, and the LS7 manifolds really are shorty headers with individual runners all the way to the collector tip (packaged like a manifold). But factory headers?? That's a big deal. And, they are 4-2-1 also. Or maybe the headers are a Chevrolet Performance option (like OE aftermarket)?
As they advance the state of the art here, there will be less headroom for the enthusiast to tap into. That's one down side of this approach. There is still tons of headroom compared to most competitors, just less than before (if it gets factory headers). Plenty of 4 cylinder lame-ass cars got factory headers, because they needed to get those extra 12hp or whatever.

They appear to be bringing back the old badge in a modern form.

Also, they support Windows Phone ringtones! By linking to a how-to for Windows Phone 7.

The directions seem like they would work for WP8...

Some details:
200lbs lighter than the Gen 5.
28% more body rigidity.
Only shares 2 parts from the Gen 5 - the bowtie an the tail light panel.
This is getting interesting. I think I might be more excited about the rigidity than the weight. 200 lbs. is like me pulling up to a gen 6 in a gen 5, and as long as I am alone and they have a 200lb passenger, we weigh the same. I have to be honest, I was hoping for more of a difference.
The rims that have been released look like IROC rims, but for this time period. The rear light cut out will be the same as the 2015, which is rectangle. The IROC had rear lights that were rectangle, with the 3 colors going across, just like the cutouts are on the spy shots of the gen 6. I like the IROC. I am really excited to see if this will be a new version of the gen 3 like the gen 5 was supposed to be a new version of the first gen. If it is, this could have real potential.
I could have a real problem: Do I get the Gen 5 which has been called the Monte Camaro (2 of my favorite cars), or the Gen 6 (Better platform, IROC)

Yes!!!
When Fox News asked GM’s VP of Global Product Development Mark Ruess if the new Camaro will outperform the new Mustang, he gave a pretty bold answer: “I”m confident. I’m very confident.”
Let the shit talking begin!

To me any weight reduction is encouraging. 200 lbs is not insignificant. Hopefully we have reached the high water mark for weight.

Not sure how I feel about this:

Pretty sure the feeling isn't excitement though. The Gen 5 to me looked like a muscle car. I was impressed from the first time I saw it. It is like they rounded out all of the badass and ended up with this. I am not going to give up on it until I see it in person, but I am losing hope. The round hood looks ridiculous. I know the Gen 5 is rounded, but not to this extreme. I also don't understand the narrow grille. The grille on the 2010 was great with the bowtie in the middle.
I hope these are not the real car. It would be cool if this was a joke...

I think it is a safe evolution.

I agree, but I think the performance is evolving in the right direction, and the styling is evolving in the wrong direction.
