WDBUF are the first 5 letters of the VIN. Still not sure why this matters.

Actually, gambling on reliability is where you get the best bang for the buck usually.
My friend who bought one of these against my advice about a year ago claims he has had no issues with his. I think it was an 05 with around 80k on it.
