Turns out it has 8 spark plugs, which is more than the seller wanted to change.

Runs good, except it doesn't.

Says it has a 455. Pretty sure they never came with that.

1993 9C1 (do I have your interest yet?)

L05 with a T56!! Not a nice looking car... But it already has a 6-speed.

It is scary.
I have owned it since 2002, and it has been my only vehicle and daily driver since 2007. In all those years, it has never once left me stranded. I would drive this car anywhere (and it has taken me through each of the lower 48 states at one time or another). It's got 290K miles of adventure on its odometer, and is ready for more.
This guy is like my (or my car's) alter ego. I'm not sure I've ever seen an L05 T56. He even used the right T56 donor (93, a good match for the 3.42 gears).

Caddy wheel.

Buick gauges.

But $3,500??

Looking at the level of writeup, and the online documentation, etc... This is not just your car's alter ego.

Too bad it's as expensive as it is... CA car with less rust than yours (probably). You can put all your impala parts on and get it painted/rustproofed. Pretend it's the old car and drive it up to 400k.

There is a major problem with this car:
* SHORT PEOPLE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO DRIVE IT WITHOUT MODIFICATIONS. The bench seat and shifter combine to limit how far forward the seat can go while still being able to shift into 2/4/6th gears. At 5'10" it's not a problem for me (and a good excuse not to let other people drive), but anyone much shorter may have to modify or replace the driver seat.
Kevin can't put the seat all the way forward to drive.
