Also has the "his/hers" shifter.
What does that even mean?
G8 GT? I thought Bill found a cheap one the other day.
Yup down to $6,900:
Probably a scam...

Where is the GTO = Catera discussion about turbo LS swaps?

I saw that one. Only one in my price range. Was lowered from $8900 or whatever. The tape on the first link had me lol'ing. You can still see the letters on the plate.

Well that's a different thread. Believe it or not this thread still has a purpose. It's just taking a long time to get to the point...
I'll spill the beans for Bob since I think he might check this thread: The GTO and Catera are both GM V-body cars. I had no idea.

Thought of the day: Does a 2005 STS V8 w/ 1SG (basically loaded) have feature parity with a 2014 CTS Vsport Premium?
The only features I can think of are some of the driver aids. The 05 STS has none of that except radar cruise which I guess is technically an aid. Discuss.
I drove the CTS-V into work this morning as planned. It sat since probably November or possibly early December. Last fuel up was mid-November and I am still on a half tank from that tank. I kept my Battery Tender on it all winter as I always do.
Other than airing up 3 tires (the rears being the worst), I did no other prep. This morning it started in like 1 crank, I swear. I love it.
I think I have flat spotted my Michelin PSSs but hopefully that will cure itself. The car is awesome though. Kinda makes me lean back toward an STS, though I am obviously going to lose a lot of the performance.

Reading up on adaptive cruise and HUD. Which are required together. In fact you have to have the HUD on to use adaptive cruise. You can set following distance and all that cool stuff.
But I learned one more thing about how to identify the cars. On PDF page 183, it shows the base model switch panel to the left of the steering wheel on the dash. I thought that was for the radar cruise. It is not. On PDF page 186 you can see the higher trim panel which has different icons. One rocker is for the HUD. So that's something I learned.

RWD, 18s. 1SF. No adaptive cruise. Freaking hell - it's an FE1 with 2.73s! Plus the pass door doesn't match the rest of the car. I think things changed in 07. I like the 6-speed but the rest is a fail. What is HILARIOUS though is that this car is actually incredibly rare. There were only 727 2007 STS V8s with FE1 and the 18s. In this case, rare doesn't make me want it. Lucky me - I found the wrong needle in a haystack.

I say we hijack this thread to talk about Cateras. Aren't they approximately free by now?

Pretty cheap! Says "fair" condition but no text to explain why. I see nothing major wrong in the pictures.

These get pretty cheap when they have issues.

05, V8, AWD, 146k.
This is my 2005 Cadillac STS with 146k miles. Its in good interior and exterior condition with only a couple of blemishes. Car is the top of the line fully loaded model with the 4.6L Northstar V8 with 320HP(MPG 17/26). When the car first came out it was a $70k luxury car and it shows with all of its advanced features. It comes equipped with Dual power heated & cooled front seats, heated rear seats, power & heated mirrors, touch screen navigation, sunroof, remote start, power adjustable steering wheel, back up sensors, and much more and also has a brand new battery I installed 2 weeks ago($250). Like I said it was the fully loaded model so it has most of the high end features a luxury car today will have. The only problems with the car is that the check engine light is on since the mass air flow sensor is bad($40 part), the exterior passenger door does not work, and it needs one more matching rim(I have the brand new tire to match the set). All tires are also in great condition with lots of treat life. I would fix it but I simply just do not have the time since Im currently out of state for the next couple of months and don't have the time to come back and deal with it. If you have any questions you can contact me on my cell phone listed above. Send me an offer 3100 OBO(well below blue book value), I just can't accept low ball offers. Need to sell by 3/15/17.
I don't think I have run the VIN yet. Needs:
- A wheel - and I am not 100% sure these are OEM but maybe?
- MAF? Something else?
- HVAC buttons
- Keyless ignition button
- Front bumper is all scratched/chipped
- Rear bumper has a scuff
- One of the doors doesn't "work" ?
- Seats somewhat worn
Overall this is not an example of something I want, but I just wanted to show how cheap they can get.
I am still hopeful for my unicorn and that it won't be totally out of reach - the RWD should technically be worth less anyway, especially up north.
