So why not drive it year round? Also would Jamie drive it as an SRX backup?

A vague plan just crazy enough to work:
Procure rust-free Fleetwood. Take summer to part out Caprice. Buy Lacrosse Super or other suitable daily/backup family car in the Fall so I have something to drive daily and in winters. This car will not see winters.

As I said before, this newfound motivation is courtesy of Tire Pros. If my Caprice doesn't pass due to rust, that's pretty much it. I am genuinely not sure if I would bother trying to patch up the frame. Then again, if it passes, I bet I'd try to drive it another 2 years. But I kind of can't just wait because everything I like is rare and not easy to find in the right condition for the right price, especially.

Highly doubt it, except in a legit emergency situation.

I pushed a little more about the front bumper thing and asked for a picture of the dash.

No worries.,I will add pictures of the dash.Its not cracked,and as you see I've covered it with a dash mat.on the passengers side the bumper is up alittle,I'm not sure what happened.Im going to try to adjust it and realign it if I can.It looks like it might of hit a curb or been in a low speed impact.I will inform you that the plastic piece between the bumper and grille needs to be painted.Its the piece that lays on top of the front bumper.I do have an extra one that comes with the car in the trunk.I will take pictures of that aswell.

I sure hope I'm not wasting his time.

A Fleetwood is the ultimate GM body on frame car. And making one that handles decently and is fast is a much bigger impact than even something like the Roadmaster. For reference, the Fleetwood curb weight is listed as 4,447 lbs on cars.com. A Roadmaster Limited sedan is 4,138 or almost exactly 300 lbs. An Impala SS is probably about the same. An engine that propels a B-body to whatever speed we consider fast enough is still going to be fast with an extra 300 lbs. And put another way, if I sacrificed 3 tenths and 3 mph in the 1/4 mile, say going from 11.2 @ 125 in the Caprice 11.5 @ 122 in a Fleetwood, I'd argue 11.5 @ 122 in a Fleetwood is more interesting than 11.2 @ 125 in a B-body.

I can't tell if that is a Brougham d'Elegance or a DeVille d'Elegance. Brougham being much more highly desirable. And probably would be worth another coupe thousand. That said, the Brougham and DeVille are on the same 121.5" wheelbase that ran on the D-body from 77-96 so I don't really even understand the differences. Is it just equipment/trim? Engines are the same...Brougham did have rear discs...
