Apparently he is not using a CTS-V lid on the blower. I assume that means....ZL1 lid? Apparently the CTS-V lid is better for hood clearance but makes a little less power. Maybe that is the difference between the CTS-V and ZL1 (580 vs 556). Maybe it's just the lid?

i have approximately 700 into the whole long block, i literally just did the cam and springs, and then put the whole kit together wich was amazingly complete and had zero issues, and had it done in less than 12 hours without some nit pick stuff i wanted to do like add in flex fuel sensor and tidy some things up.
so lets summarize, 2008, ly2, 4.8 out of a savanna van, with 188k miles, untouched other than SS2 cam and pac springs, LOJ oil pan, stock intake, stock injectors, stock fuel rails, i installed TR55 plugs and tuned it on E85 and it made 356whp and 308ftlbs of tq to the tire.
So that was before the blower. With blower he is making 570 rwhp as I mentioned before. Engine mechanical mods appear to be cam and valve springs. This really is the new hot setup.
Seems like it is most ideally suited to manual transmission applications where you got both instant torque/throttle response from the blower, AND the ability to wind out to 7,000. Maybe I could argue bumping up to the 5.3L for the Roadmaster with a 4L80E but still this seems like an optimal package. I really don't have a need for more than ~550 rwhp.

450 lb-ft at the wheels from 2500-7000 rpm. He says it feels exactly like it sounds. Awesome.
