In 2011, he bought an 08. Probably the main initial used pool. These are so rare. 2,277 made in 2008 and only 139 in 2009. Not gonna lie - that has its appeal.

Classic.

"Should I buy a high mile Super?"

"I dunno, I guess."

"Well, I bought it"

"How did it go?"

*silence, thread over*

He did an air intake mod. Makes better noises. Don't know if it's faster.

Some interesting discussion on the FWD-ness (or lack thereof) on this car. Basically someone started it by saying, well, it could really use a limited slip diff.
I agree though I am getting used to the ABS based LSD. At first the way it tugged the wheel bugged me, but either it is adaptive or I am LOL. I am getting used to it and it does REALLY well in snow and rain. Man this car scoots.
OK My time with the Super is up and I had to order it's replacement.I should have the car another month or 2. It is the best controlled power of any FWD car I have ever driven. To see for yourself, from a stop mat a left turn at full throttle. You can feel it give and take power right at the edge of traction loss. As you straighten out and reduce lateral force, it smoothly feeds in the extra power possible right now. Very very well done. Of course these great features are not marketed at all. Buick has this great plate of sushi, but they market it as raw, dead fish. Oh well.
I had to turn it in. It was a GREAT car. Once I learned to unlearn some of the things I knew about driving a FWD car I was amazed what it could do.

I think a Super area is a great idea. The super cars are a lot of fun - faster top speed than a GN.

I have an STS-V now though I am thinking of a Lucerne Super next just for giggles.
No Super section. I went to the main page. Every model gets one forum basically. Except the Encore forum. That has, count 'em, 8 (eight) sub-forums!!!

The only purchase price data point I found:
Hey all,
Greetings from Michigan.

Picked up a 2008 Lacrosse Super from the dealer Saturday 28 Feb. 2015.

89,860 miles. payed $10,600. third owner. It's pretty mint.
ext. Mocha Metallic / int. Cocoa

I was driving an extra clean 2000 Grand Am GT1 before this, so although I loved that car, the Super is a nice upgrade for me.

sold $2,800 @ 158k
I was just joking with Bob that you can't necessarily interpret qualitative praise as absolute praise, and the worst previous car someone could own to totally render meaningless anyone's qualitative opinions would be like a 1992 Grand Am. This guy did me well with a 2000.

Anyway, $10,600 about 2 years ago. I can get the same exact car today (same miles even) for $8k.

So it really is the Buick LaCrosse Super Sport. Do the Buick guys not know what SS stands for? LOLOL

I guess this is payback for the Corvette Grand Sport (GS...) LOL.
(Yeah fine the Buick is actually Gran Sport... Way different...)

This is why I don't believe high yelp ratings in rural areas :) In all seriousness, it is good to know what someone's perspective is. Like when I complain the steering wasn't as good as I hoped for in the SS...

P/N for front FE4 strut shocks: 15898772 or AC Delco 506-682, $355.95 from wholesale GM parts online
P/N for rear FE4 shocks: 25913322 or AC Delco 506-664, $264.31 from same source.

These prices are for each. They are not GM list prices. They are 39% cheaper than GM list actually. I did not try other sources.
